Singer Michael Jackson used to hide behind glasses, false teeth, afros, makeup, prosthetics etc in an attempt to experience life as everybody else. But he deplored the fact that nothing really worked. People would quickly figure it out asking him for autographs. He felt his privacy was taken away from him. Also, parts of the "Privacy" song has been said to be about Princess Diana's death.
